Banlieues Santé implemented 216 socio-esthetic workshops for women in vulnerable situations across 3 regions (Île de France, Provence-Alples-Côte-D’Azur, Rhône-Alpes) benefiting 1,423 participants.
Socio-esthetic workshops provide a time for “self-care” for vulnerable populations. Through these workshops led by certified socio-estheticians trained in the social approach to audiences, women take the first step toward confidence and a desire to care for themselves. This initial step is a prerequisite for healthcare or professional integration. The workshops also provide an opportunity for social workers to discuss complex situations and deepen their work.
